No Game and Try a Green Future-A letter to the international society from an ordinary Chinese man

We ， the Chinese people， are suffering the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia（NCP） which has spreaded more than 25 countries， killed more than 2，000 people globally， mostly in China， including the honorable doctor Li Wenliang， who is well known as the whisthleblower of the plague。 Thanks to immediate homing isolation and strong government control， most of us remain healthy。

According to many scientists， it is the game that contributes to the plague。 I‘m sorry to say that some of my compatriots have some weird tastes on snake， pangolin， paguma larvata， shark wing and so on。 As an ordinary Chinese man， just like the rest of us， I am very ashamed of that。

It is well known that China has a 5，000 years of long， long… history。 We have both glorious civilization and savage one， such as game culture。

Why do many Chinese people love game？ Sometimes it is partly due to poverty and starving， but mostly ， just due to hierarchy showoff， ignorance and absurd hunger for sex desire。

Historically， we believed that everything was born for human being， especially for eating。 Just like the other uncivilization， we always believe that what we eat will be what we are。 For example， if we ate a tiger， we would be as strong as it was。 If we ate the penis of a donkey or a sea dog， we would have incredible power on sex。 Ironically， according to our traditional culture， sex is a unpure， shamful and evil thing。

Further more， the ancient Chinese doctors used to believe that most wild animals could be good medicine as well。 For example， in Guangdong province and Hong kong， the natives today still believe that the crocodile meat is efficacious for asthma。 Nowadays many Chinese believe that the scale of pangolin is very efficacious to “breakthrough” of organ and blood disease， since the poor animal can break through soils and rocks easily。

It also seems to be a good idea to cook game both as medicine and delicious food。 Even today， I’m sorry to say that many of my compatriots are still proud to be a professional food junkie who cares nothing but eating。 Even SARS， which attacked China in 2003， was concerned with eating paguma larvata ， after a short shock， many Chinese kept eating that again despite the delicious had ever killed 349 people and are killing more than 2，000 today。 They take that as a Chinese humor style， but I‘d rather to call that savage， ignorance and uncivilization。

However， on the other hand， who is the supplier of the game in China？ And why they choose such an occupation？ Besides criminals， most of them are poor farmers。 Many of them can not earn enough money by farming， especially green and organic agriculture， although the government of China tries their best to help poor farmers to be rich。 But most Chinese farmers， unlike an American farmer or a German farmer， are very hard to make a living yet。 In comparison with the urban， the social enssurance in rural is less than the latter。 They have to make a living by the other way， such as hunting game。

Therefore， please do not blame Chinese as a total Countributing to the plague although some Chinese must be blamed hardly。 I have to recognize that some of my compatriots are ignorant and uncivilized， but most of us really have no interest in game either。

Furthermore， game cook is very popular worldwidely。 In southeast Asia and Africa， eating bats， snakes， cats，etc。。 are so popular that the native regards that as their culture proudly。 Many Japanese believe that whale hunting is their culture and they have to defense on that。 In north Europe and Canada， the heart of Arctic sea parrot is too welcome to be the first national dinner。

Please do not blame all the Chinese although many of us should be blamed。 Just like the people of many countries， we also have good ones and bad ones。 During the plague， Li Wenliang， the whistleblower hero ， is just an ordinary doctor。 Doctor Zhong Nanshan， Li Lanjuan and many other doctors are fighting against the disease all day and all night。 Millions of the people are donating to patients。 Farmers in Shouguang， Changqing （In Chinese， the so-called name means the great wall and clean water）， and other rurals in China are carrying their best vegetables to Wuhan for free even they themselves are not rich enough。 When hearing the plague broken in Wuhan， Miss。Gan Ruyi， a young nurse who lived 300 kilometers away， rode her bicycle to Wuhan while other vehicles were unavailable。 Many volunteers prefer driving to Wuhan to staying at home。

Just like many countries suffering plague， we inevitably have to face up with rumors， critics， and hurts among the people。 Many patients and civilians are suffering all kinds of pains。 But totally ， most Chinese support their government， trying to take care of each other， and trying to eliminate rumors voluntedly。

Please do not blame， hurt or discriminate a Chinese easily in your country。 It is called “Novel Coronavirus”， not “Chinese Virus”， which attacks all the human beings， not only the Chinese， but also the whole world， although some of us are wrong and should introspect deeply。 We are all human beings。 Maybe we had ever shared the same cave， forest， prairie and foods in east Africa 70，000 years ago。 As a human being， I’d rather to call you my brothers and sisters than foreigners or enemies。 And I dare to say， it is the global climate change that contributes to the plague， and now it ‘s trying to kill more people across the rest of the world， no matter the region， religious， and culture。

It is time to declare the war on game and other violations against biological balance all over the world。 Besides， if you’d like to purchase our agricultural products with green product logo， we will highly appreciate with that because every penny you pay will support a poor Chinese farmer to work hard on green and natural industries， instead of hunting game。 And if possible， I ‘d like to suggest the people all over the world to take a seed of carbon conquestration tree or a flower as a surprise gift to each other while trading internationally， since the hierarchy can not be agreed with each other on climate change。 And you may do more or better than Miss。Thunberg whether you support her or not。
