還是先來追根溯源一下文章的出處。本文節選自2019年4月第二屆“一帶一路”高峰論壇聯合國秘書長的講話。這種涉及到國際環境、外交關係等話題的時政類文章在CATTI真題中出現的頻率還是比較高的。
這類文章一般會涉及大量外事外交和新發展新趨勢方面的新術語，需要大家在備考期間做好積累的工作。此外，這類文章選用的句式結構複雜，資訊量大，對我們的翻譯會造成很大的影響。今天我們就一起來學習一下本選段中的幾個長句應該如何翻譯。
看第一個句子
Looking around the world， we also see more and more governments， cities and businesses understanding that climate solutions are wise investments in an equitable， prosperous and sustainable future。
that引導的這個賓語從句看起來平平無奇，但是如果順句直譯的話，就會出現這樣的譯文：氣候解決方案在公平、繁榮和可持續的未來是明智投資。是不是感覺這句話裡的每個字都認識，但是連起來就讀不通了呢？此處我們就可以採用詞性轉換的翻譯方法，把介詞部分 in……future轉譯為動詞“實現……未來”。循著這個思路，大家試著翻譯一下吧。

所以說，要翻譯好這個看似簡短容易的句子，還是得好好思考一番，就比如句子開頭的The choices…are essential to…中，to do不定式的處理就有些費腦筋，直譯下來真是又長又拗口，而且還不好理解。
